Spool Performance BMW 7 Speed DCT Upgraded 8/8 Clutch Set

Description

Spool Performance Upgraded BMW DCT 8/8 Clutch Set – The Ultimate High-Power, Track-Ready DCT Solution The Getrag/BMW 7-speed DCT (GS7D36SG) is a very capable and advanced dual-clutch transmission but once you push beyond factory power levels—or expose the transmission to aggressive track environments—the OEM clutch pack quickly becomes a bottleneck. Excess heat, increased torque load, rapid wear, slipping during hard upshifts, and even catastrophic clutch failure are all common when the stock pack is pushed past its limits. The Spool Performance Upgraded BMW DCT 8/8 Clutch Set solves this problem permanently. Engineered for serious track drivers and high-horsepower builds, our clutch upgrade is designed to hold dramatically more torque than the OEM unit while maintaining smooth, factory-like drivability. Whether you’re running upgraded turbos, ethanol blends, or simply want a bulletproof drivetrain for track days, this clutch pack is built to take abuse—and keep asking for more. Why Choose the Spool Performance 8/8 Clutch Set? Massive Torque Capacity The Spool 8/8 DCT clutch system supports 1000 ft-lbs of tq, far beyond the OEM limit, ensuring reliable power delivery on both street and track. No more slip, no more burnt clutches, no more inconsistency when you push the car hard. High-End Friction Material Our upgraded friction discs are manufactured using proprietary motorsport-grade, heat-resistant materials specifically engineered to withstand high-temperature cycling common in big-power and track applications. OEM-Like Engagement Although built for extreme conditions, our friction material and pressure profile maintain smooth engagement characteristics. Drivability stays near-stock—no chatter, no harsh engagement. Durable Steel Separator Plates Each clutch pack is paired with precision-machined custom alloy steel plates designed to maintain stability and long-term durability under high load and high heat. Minimal Break-In Required Thanks to the optimized friction profile, the Spool 8/8 clutch stack requires only a short break-in cycle before it’s ready for aggressive use. Works With OEM Clutch Basket No machining or custom basket required. This upgrade is designed to install directly into the factory DCT clutch basket. Relearning Procedure Compatible Once installed, the transmission simply needs to undergo a standard clutch adaptation/relearn using advanced BMW diagnostic software. After this adaptation and a brief break-in, the system is ready for full power.
